December 2020
Our Year in Review
President & CEO, Clara Reynolds
With 2020 being the bizarre year that it has been, I have truly missed the opportunity to see many of you – our donors, volunteers, Board of Directors, and community advocates – in person at our events or throughout the community. I always enjoy hearing what is going on in your lives, but by not seeing you face-to-face, I have missed the opportunity to brag on my amazing staff. Looking back on where we were a year ago and how much we have adapted to meet the evolving needs of our community, I am blown away by how gracefully and effortlessly our staff have risen to the challenges presented this year.

Connecting the Gateway Through
Community Paramedicine
Brian was referred by Care Coordinators at Advent Health Tampa (AHT) to our Community Paramedicine program. At just 26 years old, he was a frequent patient at AHT due to ongoing issues with his hypertension and diabetes. However, before our paramedic could help Brian with his chronic health issues, we had to assist him in recovering from COVID-19.

2020 Achievements at the Crisis Center
Our staff have worked incredibly hard to support the community throughout the many ups and downs that 2020 has presented. We wanted to remind everyone that although this year has had it's challenges, there are still many events that were worth remembering. Employees were encouraged to leave a post-it note sharing something good that happened to them this year - whether personal, professional, or shared with their department.
The Krewe of Cavaliers Present the 2020 Meme Wars!
Join the Krewe of Cavaliers on Tuesday, December 29th at 6:00pm for their virtual 2020 Meme War benefiting the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay! The top submitted memes will be reviewed by the judges: County Commissioner Pat Kemp; Roberto Torres of Blind Tiger; and Miguel Fuller of Hot 101.5. Join the Rotary Club of Tampa for the Gasparilla Bash
The Rotary Club of Tampa’s annual Gasparilla Bash raises money to support nonprofit organizations across Tampa Bay. This year the Crisis Center of Tampa has been chosen as our designated charity to receive a significant portion of the proceeds.

Gasparilla Bash is going virtual this year on Saturday, January 16th at 7pm. Tickets include a “Bash Box” and access to a virtual concert from Tampa favorite, The Black Honkeys Band. There will also be a limited VIP at-home mixology experience, a vacation raffle, and online silent auction. Dress in your festive pirate garb (or your pj's - it's your house) to kick off the Gasparilla season as we dance and celebrate for a cause virtually.
Thank you Corporate Partners!
Thank you Crisis Center of Tampa Bay Funders!
