What is the STEM Expo?
STEM EXPO 2020 will showcase the talents of K - 6 students in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and creative Making. This event is designed to show off those talents in the scientific areas. We look forward to many different kinds of projects and students to share what they have learned. STEM EXPO is an event, like an old-fashioned science fair, but non-competitive, you are all winners!

Join us for a free movie on

To express our gratitude for all Cossitt PTC members and volunteers, we are pleased to sponsor a FREE movie morning at the La Grange Theater, 80 South LaGrange Road.
Monday, February 17, 2020 (no school due to President's Day)
Doors open at 9:10. Movie starts at 9:30
Concession stand will be open for purchases.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Siblings are welcome.
We will know what movie will be shown a week ahead of time and will let you know as soon as possible. Please sign up on the link below, space is limited. (Note: if you sign up and change your mind once we know what movie will be shown, it's no problem to cancel.)

Girls Running Club |
ATTENTION 3rd, 4th and 5th GRADE GIRLS!
WHO WANTS TO RUN?
Cossitt Elementary is hosting another season of girls' running club! The club will meet once a week to work towards running a 5k at the end of the season. While meeting, we will focus on both running and social skills. The girls will also work on building confidence, self-esteem and working together as a team.
This year, Girls' Running Club will be held on Thursdays after school and coached by Mrs. Daly, Mrs. Duncan, Mrs. Galloway, Mrs. Howard, Mrs. Melberg, Mrs. Morris, Mrs. Stamer & Mrs. Wood.
We'd love for you to join us!

Fifth Bi-Annual Cossitt Trivia Night on January 31st
The theme of the party is "binge worthy TV"!! The days of Must See TV are gone as everyone is binge watching their favorite shows on Netflix, HBO, Hulu etc... Gather 10 cast members, pick your favorite binge worthy show, and prepare to dress in "theme".
Want to play but don't have a full team? Sign up and pay for an individual spot and we will put you on a team. It's a great way to get to know other Cossitt parents!
Reservations for this event will be on a first-come, first-served basis and registration closes Friday, January 24!

Social Fundraiser |
Ready to start the year off with a bit of fun and fitness? Join us for our next Cossitt Social Fundraiser - a barre class at The Dailey Method taught by owner and first-grade mom, Kelli Teegan. The class incorporates elements of Pilates, yoga, and orthopedic stretching and is great for novices or Dailey Method veterans. The class will be followed by wine & light apps. I will look back at last year and see who came. All guests receive 20% off retail the night of the event and a raffle will be included for a salon service with Cossitt mom, Amorena!
