Norlings Leave Lasting Impact on Education in Sandwich
We are honored to announce the Jack E. Norling and Norma E. (Rex) Norling Fund. This new Fund provides financial support to the Indian Valley Vocational Center (IVVC) as well as to the Sandwich School District #430.

Nonprofit Organizations Persevere Amid Pandemic
As a result of the challenging current financial climate, the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership is launching a public awareness campaign, “Live Here. Give Here.” to highlight the importance of nonprofit organizations and encourage year-end donations to local nonprofits.

Local Efforts Work to Move the Needle on Kindergarten Readiness 
We are excited to announce a 5-part story series over the month of December detailing the efforts to support kindergarten readiness in DeKalb County.

  • Story #1 – History and context (the need behind the initiative)
  • Story #2 – Where to Begin? (survey data and workshops)
  • Story #3 – The Right Tools (toolkits and grants)
  • Story #4 – Back to Basics (Basics DeKalb County)
  • Story #5 – Working Together for DeKalb County (essential partners)

$125,617 in Fall Community Needs Grants Awarded
Through generous donor support, the Community Foundation is excited to announce the distribution of $125,617 in Community Needs Grants this fall. The grants provide support to 23 organizations for a variety of programs and projects that impact DeKalb County.

$66,245 in COVID-19 Response Grants Awarded
The DeKalb County COVID-19 Response Fund advisory committee is pleased to announce that a total of $66,245 has been awarded to date to 19 organizations in DeKalb County COVID-19 Response Grants.

Funding is made possible by ongoing donations to the DeKalb County COVID-19 Response Fund. Thank you to the many generous donors who have contributed!

Grants Available to Benefit Youth in DeKalb County
Nonprofit organizations and eligible public sector direct service organizations are invited to apply for a YEP Grant, up to $2,500, for programs and projects that impact youth in DeKalb County. Deadline to apply is February 1, 2021.

2021 Grant Seekers Workshop Announced
Nonprofit organizations and eligible public sector direct service organizations interested in applying for a grant from the Community Foundation are invited to a free workshop.
