Early Voting for the May 7 General Local Election for the election of three (3) Lakeway city councilmembers, along with state propositions and school board elections will run from Monday, April 25 through Tuesday, May 3, 2022. The nearest Early Voting polling locations for Lakeway residents are the Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek) and the Lake Travis ISD Educational Development Center (607 RR 620 N.). Heritage Trail Tours & Liebelt Cabin Grand Re-Opening Ceremony

HISTORIC BUS TOURS
Explore the history of Lakeway through one of three free air-conditioned bus tours taking place next Friday, May 6. Tour times are 9:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m. or 1:15 p.m., with the tour beginning and ending at the Liebelt Cabin located next to City Hall (1102 Lohmans Crossing Rd.). Seating capacity was recently expanded to allow for more residents to take part in this fun, educational event. However, seating is still limited, so don't delay. Registration can be completed online by CLICKING HERE, or if you're having trouble registering online, call the Lakeway Activity Center at (512) 261-1010.
RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
Participants or even those who are not participating in the tours should arrive early at City Hall on Friday, May 6 for a special ribbon cutting of the newly renovated Liebelt Cabin. The ribbon cutting will take place at 8:45 a.m. in front of the cabin with members of the Lakeway Heritage Committee and Lakeway Civic Corporation (LCC) in attendance. The cabin was recently renovated to help preserve the historic structure for future generations to enjoy. LCC made a generous donation last year covering a large portion of the renovation costs, with the City of Lakeway covering the remaining amount. Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Bring your old, unwanted or unused prescription medication(s) to this free event at the Lakeway Police Department (1941 Lohmans Crossing Rd.) this Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lakeway residents will be able to pull up into the parking lot to drop off prescription medications, cough syrup and pet medications. This drive-thru event is free for Lakeway residents. The process is anonymous - no questions asked. It's encouraged if your label has personal information to remove it, or mark out identifying information. This program is not intended for medical businesses to dispose of medications. Needles, syringes, thermometers, illegal substances, personal care products, IV bags, medical devices and aerosol cans will not be accepted. CLICK HERE for more information.

Lifeguards Needed
Lifeguards and swim instructors are needed for the upcoming summer season at the Lakeway Swim Center. Under the supervision of the Swim Center Manager, lifeguards help ensure patron safety, enforce pool rules and regulations, and perform water rescues, administering first aid as needed. Star Wars Movie Night
Join the Lakeway Parks & Recreation Department for a special showing of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the lower level of Lakeway City Park (502 Hurst Creek Road).
