The Breath of a Whale
by Leigh Calvez
|
Leigh Calvez invites us to join her as she studies and observes various species of Pacific Ocean whales. At times, dreamlike, we float alongside her with these gentle giants of the sea. At other
times, Leigh provides scientifically grounded statistics and research that allow us a glimpse into the behaviour and cultures of Humpbacks, Blue whales, Orcas, and others. She inspires us to
become fierce defenders of cetacean habitats and communities. This thoughtful and sensitive reflection is must read material for anyone who is interested in animal behaviour, deep ocean
mysteries and inhabitants, conservation, and those passionate about the futures of our non-human relations.
