100% Distance Learning for All Students - November 30-December 2
As a reminder, all in-person students will transition to 100% distance learning for the three days following Thanksgiving Break--Monday, November 30-Wednesday, December 2. On-campus classes will resume on Thursday, December 3.
At our academy, meaningful, asynchronous assignments will be issued for student learning and reinforcement of key skills. For students normally attending in-person, a paper packet will be sent home Tuesday containing assignments for all three days. We will also email the assignments for student reference. Attendance will be determined if the packet was turned in upon the student’s return. Please ensure that your child returns to school with their completed material on Thursday, December 3.
In order to maintain alignment for all of our scholars, students who are already in our DL program for all of 2nd quarter will have the same asynchronous assignments uploaded into the Google Classroom. You will use the Google Classroom as normal, accessing and uploading assignments as usual. Attendance will be taken the same way through the attendance form. Because there will not be new live math and Spalding instruction, there will not be Guided Practice on these days.
Additionally, during these three days, Headmaster Philabaum will be reading selections from The Phantom Toolbooth daily at 10am on Facebook Live. We hope you will join us!
