Second LR Receives Environmental Award
Second Presbyterian Church, Little Rock has been honored with the national Presbyterians for Earth Care (PEC) Restoring Creation Award for 2020! Ann Owen, sustainability coordinator for the church, was presented with the award at PEC’s 25th-anniversary celebration and annual meeting on September 29. Rev. Steve Hancock, Rev. Lindy Vogado, Carol Young, and Rick Owen also attended the Zoom celebration. Click Here to read more.

End of Year/Beginning of the New Year
It’s that time of year again! Yes, it’s Advent, with its decorations, songs, and preparing for the celebration of Christ’s birth. But it’s also time for Clerks and Moderators of sessions to tie up the old year and think ahead to the new. Here’s a check list of tasks that can be started now:
  1. If your session has elected a new Clerk or Treasurer for 2021 please send Stated Clerk Leslie Belden the contact info for that person. Please send to lesliebeld@aol.com.
  2. If you use the Presbytery’s prayer list, Click Here for the 2021 list.
  3. Clerks may begin the process of filling out the yearly Statistical Report this Friday, December 4. The last day to complete your Statistical Report is Thursday, February 18, 2021.  Please update your congregation’s membership numbers even if you don’t do anything else! Click Here for the link to the report.

Pause and think for a second of what your life would be like if you had not met Christ; if you had not been part of a church family. It may be hard to imagine what that is like, but 73 million people in the United States (100 million if you include children/youth - Barna stats) know exactly what that feels like. In communities large and small, they are there - not too far from us. Many of them really need us. So how do we reach out to them?

Youthquake: Sundays Together
Join us this Sunday for the last Sundays Together of 2020. All youth 7-12th and their supporting adults are welcome to join us on December 6 from 5-6pm. Reach out to Brianne (brianne@presbyark.org) for the zoom link. 

Sundays Together will continue to meet next year on January 31, March 7, and the weekend of April 9-11. Please fill out This Survey (due Dec. 31, 2020) to provide feedback on our Sundays Together gatherings and thoughts about covid and spring youth gatherings and summer youth trips.
