To celebrate Seniors Festival, we're delivering an engaging mix of events and online activities between 25 March and 3 April.

Join the celebrations by registering for a free morning tea and talent show, a health and technology webinar or for a free golf day with lunch.

You can also bring your grandchildren along for a fun morning of nature-based songs and stories at the Bush School.

Our festival program will provide opportunities to support our residents to connect back with the community through people, music, activities, libraries and services in COVID-safe settings.

How to safely dispose of hazardous items
Never dispose of hazardous materials in your residential bins. Items such as batteries, gas bottles and motor oils are hazardous and flammable and are the leading cause of fires in trucks and at waste facilities.

Please DO NOT place any of the following items into any bin as they can cause a fire, putting the driver and community at risk:

  • Car and household batteries
  • Paints or chemicals
  • Gas bottles
  • Motor and cooking oils
  • Fuel cans
  • Hot ashes or coals
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Aerosol cans (with contents)

Book a Mobile Community Recycling Collection Service to safely get rid of hazardous items.

Residents can also drop off household batteries and mobile phones at any of our small problem waste drop off stations or visit their nearest EPA Community Recycling Centre at one of Council’s Chemical CleanOut events to drop off hazardous waste for free.
