BIA|PG&E Task Force to Meet on Oct. 23
The BIA|Bay Area-PG&E Task Force will discuss the status of the outside contractor electric tie-in pilot project, emergency power shut-off program and other joint initiatives at its meeting on Oct. 23, 2019. The members-only meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in Pleasanton. Click HERE  to register online. Contra Costa Launches Online Open House
Contra Costa County seeks online comments on Envision Contra Costa County 2040, its project to update the county's general plan, zoning code and climate action action plan. The county is accepting input through its online open house found at https://envisioncontracosta2040.org/online-engagement/ . Specifically, the county is looking for your views on six key issues: environmental justice, community health, housing, mobility, safety and resiliency, and economic development. PG&E Offers Triple Pane Incentive
The California Partnership for Advanced Windows (C-PAW) has announced a new Pacific, Gas & Electric incentive to encourage the use of thin triple pane windows with a U-factor and SHGC of 0.22 or lower. The California Energy Commission (CEC) co-founded C-PAW with the goal of developing more efficient windows that will reduce GHG emissions and help builders comply with 2019 regulations. Full Story
In the wake of a National Weather Service Fire Weather Watch issued for vast portions of Northern California on Wednesday through mid-day Thursday, PG&E advises electric service customers to prepare for the possible loss of power. PG&E officials have previously advised homebuilders that new business utility construction schedules could be delayed during these events. Full Story
Santa Clara Development Application Fees
The City of Santa Clara is studying the potential rise of application fees associated with the City's review of development applications. During Stakeholder meetings in September, potential proposed fee increases associated with Planning, Building, Fire, Public Works, and Water & Sewer development applications were presented as well as examples of proposed project application costs. Full Story
Morgan Hill Growth Control System
The City of Morgan Hill will be holding a special City Council meeting on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the city Council Chambers at 17555 Peak Avenue, Morgan Hill to provide an update on the 2019 State Housing Legislation and the impacts to Morgan Hill. Full Story
Hollister Growth Cap Ordinance
The Hollister City Council has been debating for nearly two years to how to devise a housing construction limit that will be acceptable to the California Department of Housing and Community Development. On October 7, 2019 the Council will be considering a new policy on housing growth that would exempt affordable and multifamily units and reduce the annual allotment of new single-family homes to 159, about a 1.5% annual growth rate. Full Story
