Goetz Announces Retirement
River Garden Senior Services Chief Executive Officer Martin A. Goetz will be stepping down from his position in March 2021. Goetz joined River Garden as associate administrator in 1978 and assumed the role of CEO in 2004.

In other River Garden News, Christina Levine recently has been named chief development officer.

Ashner to Leave Memphis
Joel Ashner, director of philanthropy and community engagement is leaving her position at the Memphis Jewish Home and Rehab this month.

Ashner is moving to Atlanta to be with her children who have settled there. She will be working for Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta as a major gifts officer. 

"I have enjoyed working with all of you very much," said Ashner. "AJAS is a great organization and I have learned so much from being involved and meeting so many other people in the Jewish aging services space." 

New Executive Director Named
The Reutlinger Community is proud to announce the hiring of Clara Allen as its new executive director.
Allen comes to The Reutlinger Community with over 25 years of experience in senior living and services in the Bay Area’s nonprofit sector. Replacing Jay Zimmer, Allen was most recently the executive director of Friends House, a nonprofit Quaker-inspired CCRC in Santa Rosa, CA. Prior to that, she was the assistant executive director of San Francisco Towers, a Life Plan Community in San Francisco.

Allen is a LNHA, CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) and possesses a RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) certification.


Finke Retires from Einstein Center
Leslie Finke, CEO of the Albert Einstein Residence Center in Sacramento, CA, retires this month after many years at the community. His successor is Rabbi Matt Rosenberg.
