City of Chicago Designates 2020 as the 'Year of Chicago Music'
Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot and the DCASE have recently designated 202 as the 'Year of Chicago Music.' The City of Chicago and its partners will launch a marketing campaign for Chicago music; provide additional financial grants for music projects; encourage dialog around inclusion and equity; and call on civic, philanthropic, arts and business leaders to support the music industry. The citywide, year-long focus on music is one of the first of its kind in the United States.

Individual Artists Program _IAP_
DCASE's 2020 Individual Artists Program (IAP) grant application is now open!
IAP grants aim to assist Chicago's practicing artists in creating work that develops their craft and elevates their careers, while adding to the cultural vitality of the city of Chicago. IAP grants support artists across all artistic disciplines including Film & Media Arts, Literary Arts, Performing Arts (Theatre/Dance), Music and Visual Arts/Design. All applicants are encouraged to attend an Application Assistance Workshop to learn about important updates to this year's program.  To RSVP for workshops and apply , please visit chicagoculturalgrants.org.
