City Council Goal Setting Meeting this Thursday
|
|
At the City Council's Annual Goal Setting Meeting, the Council will review its work plan with the city's management and department leaders and establish formal priorities for the calendar year. It also involves a review of the city's financial situation, and a review of the city's accomplishments of the past year.
At every Special Meeting of the City Council, members of the public have the right to directly address the City Council on any item listed on the agenda at a time designated by the Chair, either before or during consideration of the item.

Community Meeting on Santa Cruz/Alameda Corridor Safety

A community meeting pertaining to safety plans and designs for Santa Cruz/Alameda corridor will be held on
Thursday, January 30
at
Los Lomitas School, Cano Hall, 299 Alameda de las Pulgas
. Doors open at
6:30 pm
– come early to review materials, designs, and discuss:
– Do you think speeding is a safety issue?
– Do you wonder why there are no sidewalks on Alameda?
– What is being planed to improve resident safety?
– Will the number of lanes in the corridor be reduced?
Ask your questions, hear what County is planning, voice your concerns, gain knowledge and be a part in making this traffic corridor safer and more residential.

In partnership with the City of Menlo Park and Caltrain, Off the Grid: Menlo Park returns to Merrill St. (by the Menlo Park Caltrain station) every Wednesday night!
This weekly event offers a relaxing and delicious night out for the whole family — complete with live entertainment, tasty mobile food curated by Off the Grid, and communal seating.

Art Talk by Felipe Colina at Marcela's Village Gallery

In this talk, emerging Venezuelan artist
Felipe Colina
will read passages from the Letters of Van Gogh, discuss his self-taught process, introduce the fundamentals of painting, explain how we can apply the mental process of 'painting', and conclude with his vision of a new "painting" of Venezuelan society.
All members of the community are invited (specially those who have little contact with the arts). Members of the tech community (engineers, leaders, investors) are particularly welcome as this talk will bring a fresh perspective.
