As we are releasing this issue during the Memorial Day weekend, I do hope it finds you enjoying a pleasant holiday with family and friends. We now only have two days left in this school year and have set out Wednesday, May 27th as a make-up day for anyone that still has items to be dropped off or picked up (below).

In this week's edition you will find a recap of our 8th Grade Day of Excellence. Unfortunately, this year circumstances necessitated an online recognition ceremony and we have shared students' names by category below. These Knights deserve all the accolades and recognition they may receive in that they have worked extremely hard to be on one or more of these lists. Even if you do not have a child in the 8th grade this year, you may enjoy seeing the categories of recognition we have at Lake Nona to recognize excellence.

Below you will also find a request from our PTSA for 2020-2021 board members in that 100% of the PTSA board is turning over this year. PTSA is a vital organization to us as they do so much for both students and teachers. Lake Nona Middle School has among its ongoing strengths a student body that performs academically at very high levels in many areas, a number of the leading educators from across the school district, and a very positive school climate. It is on this last point that our PTSA really helps with student achievement and teacher morale. Please, if you will have a student attending Lake Nona next year consider being part of our PTSA board or at the very least, becoming a PTSA member.

It is our plan to publish a few issues of The Kingdom's Chronicle throughout the summer break, but please remember to visit our school website and social media sites for ongoing news.
