Report Cards
Report cards were emailed to parents' inboxes this afternoon. We are so proud of the excellent work that of all of our students have put forth over winter term. Let's take time to celebrate their hard earned successes! As a reminder, report cards are password protected with your child's birthdate using the following format: mm/dd/yyyy
Spring Conferences
We are excited to invite you to our spring conferences! These will be student-led, arena-style conferences held in-person at TCRS. Your student must be with you and is an integral part of the process! Students will be preparing to lead their conference in their advisory class over the next two weeks. Unlike our fall conferences, these are optional and a good chance to check in with multiple teachers (for example, their new IP teacher, math, and another core class). These mini-meetings with each teacher lasts 10 minutes. We ask that you be mindful of other people while waiting to speak to teachers and we will have staff helping to monitor time and the queue.
Conference times are Thursday, April 21 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM and Friday, April 22 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Counseling Corner
Forecasting - April 8, 2022
With the arrival of spring, 8th graders are finalizing high school selections and beginning to forecast for freshman year classes. The counseling teams at WLWV high schools are partnering with TRCS to set students up for success in their transition. In order to fully support our community, students participate in the following steps:

  1. TRCS Alumni Panel: Alumni visit 8th grade health to share their transition to high school tips
  2. Incoming 9th Grade Information Night: Families attend a webinar hosted by the counselors at WLHS or WVHS
  3. Counseling: Students meet individually with Ms. Layton to explore academic options and make preliminary course selections in Synergy
  4. On-Site Forecasting: High school counselors visit TRCS to answer questions and finalize course selections
  5. Campus Visit: High schools open the campus for student visitors to tour facilities, meet teachers, and connect with student leaders

It is an exciting time as our 8th graders prepare for their next educational chapter. As always, do not hesitate to reach out with any questions [email protected]

Warmly,
Ms. Layton
