A new season brings breathes of fresh air and the change of weather foretells of new beginnings and moving forward into the future. 2020 has been an exercise in so many things: adaptability, resilience, patience. COVID-19 came on scene and introduced a new reality to our personal, work and social lives. For many of us, the foundations of daily life have been shaken to the core with all that we knew as "normal" changed and challenged as never before.
In times such as these, we are wise to be mindful of all needs, not just the obvious ones. This is true for ourselves and for those we love. Self care and self awareness are more important than ever to our overall physical, mental and emotional health. As social beings, we still need to feel connected to one another, even when we can't meet in person or interact in familiar ways. It's been a challenging adaptation, but we have to realize that while virtual is not the way we would choose to live, it is the next best thing to being in person, and certainly better than no interaction at all. We, too, want to get back to our shared space and time but until then, we need to remember to breathe deep, exhale slowly and hold fast to the knowledge that we can and will endure.
Our hearts are with all who have lost loved ones or suffered from effects of the pandemic. None of us have been immune and all of us hope for the same thing: a season of change that offers hope for better tomorrows.
Be well, keep healthy and stay strong. 💜💜💜
