Hello from Haiti!

I think everyone would agree this has been a most challenging year. You can probably imagine it has been every bit as challenging in Haiti as well. Even so, we are thankful to God for His grace, and to all of you who pray and support the mission. We are grateful for our clinic staff that faithfully serves the most needy of all, and for the pastors who provide leadership and spiritual guidance.

As with many charities, giving is down this year and we have not been able to have the fundraisers we planned due to COVID restrictions. At times it seemed we were on the verge of having to make some very difficult operational decisions, but generous gifts arrived at the 11th hour. We are so grateful to everyone who has helped sustain the mission during these times. We have even been able to do something extra for the kids who come to the clinic, thanks to the support of Revolution Church in Canton, GA. They gave us backpacks which we were able to load with school supplies to help get the kids off to a good start with school. An unexpected gift is a special blessing. You can see this in the big smile the girl in the photo has on her face.

Today is known as #GivingTuesday, and I'm sure you have received many appeals in recent days calling it to your attention. We would be honored if you would consider a gift to Haiti Cheri to help us finish the year in strength. The Giving Tuesday website describes the day this way:

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. (Source: www.givingtuesday.org)

Haiti Cheri is in the business of transformation, by the grace and power of Jesus Christ. Your gift will go a long way to help us in this mission of transformation. If you would like to support us on this #GivingTuesday, you can click https://www.haiticheri.org/donate or send a gift to our mailing address shown below.

Whether you are able to give or not, we remain grateful for everyone who reads these newsletters and prays for us. We pray for all of you as well as this crazy year comes to a close.
Blessings to all,
Dan Merrefield
