15TH ANNUAL CHAMBER HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE & AUCTION
Over 215 Chamber Members and their guests attended the 15th Annual Holiday Open House and Auction held December 5th at the St. Joseph Activity Center in Galion.
The tables were adorned with beautiful holiday decorations and favors provided by the Candi Bar, Crossroads Original Designs and Flower Cart Florist. The Galion Community Hospital Nutritional Services provided an array of great food and desserts. A cash bar was provided by 1803 Brewery, Peacock Water and Riverside Drive Thru, with the tips going to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Entertainment of Christmas music was provided by Lamar Wyse who played the keyboard.
Immediately following the silent auction, the 50/50 was drawn with Mudd Maloy winning $590. Craig Miley of Miley Realty and Auction served as auctioneer for the live auction which featured 40 items. This year we added a Chinese Auction which featured 20 items.
Raffle winners included, Megan Brown ($1,000), Jennifer Baker ($750), Dave Spraw ($500) and Abby Volk ($250). Two extra drawings for $100 were also done during the auction, winners had to be present to win. Those winners were Brenda Gosser and Tom Cander.
This year’s auction items included a family membership to the Galion Community Center-YMCA, advertising packages, OSU items, gift baskets, gift certificates, a couples athletic pass to all Galion & Crestline home sporting events, jewelry, a 50" TV, Blue Jacket tickets, Browns tickets, Indians tickets, an amazon fire tablet, a pool table, a combination Gas & Charcoal Grills, a glider, marble chess set, a nights stay at Sleep Inn, a year’s supply of pizza from 2 local pizza shops, a chest freezer with a gift certificate to Rus-Men farms and much, much more.
The event was all made possible by the generosity of our Corporate Sponsors, our members that donated auction items or money to purchase auction items, our volunteers and all those in the attendance that helped make the evening a huge success.
