Day of Caring 2019
This year's Day of Caring was a huge success with 19 business volunteer teams completing 22 projects at nonprofits and schools in our community!

These 260 volunteers moved railroad ties, fixed signs, replaced roofing, brought in new carpet, sorted food, and a whole lot more to make a huge difference in the way these organizations can grow moving forward.

A special shout out is more than deserved to Caterpillar, who alone had over 100 volunteers across multiple sites; UGA for donating mulch, compost, equipment, and materials; and last but certainly not least, a big thank you to Ralph Johnson, who has served his final term as our Day of Caring Chair. His expertise and guidance will be missed, but he leaves behind a legacy of service many are sure to follow.

We also thank our sponsors: Chic-fil-A Atlanta Highway, Eaton, Johnson & Johnson, Oglethorpe Power, BankSouth, Golden Pantry, Leon Farmer, Coca-Cola Athens, Ameripride, and Northeast Sales!

Thanks for a record breaking year!
Nonprofit Training Series: Nov. 15 and 22
Georgia Center for Nonprofits Coaches on Performance Outcome Measurement
If you've been around United Way for the past couple of years then the Nonprofit Training Series and Georgia Center for Nonprofits are both familiar names to you. But this month we get the chance to combine the two by having Kathy Keely provide an incredible training on Performance Outcome Measurement in this jam packed two day session.

Learn the difference between results and program outcomes and how to maximize you use of data for not only decision making but also stronger communication to your stakeholders.

Each session will run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and lunch will be included. Unlike our previous training sessions, this one does come with a ticket price. While it would normally cost $175 to participate for each session this training at GCN in Atlanta, we are able to offer it at $50 per participant for both sessions combined!

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity by registering at GivePulse through the button below, which will include instructions for how to pay the registration fee.
