WELCOME to the February 2022 issue of The Holiday Traveler - our very own overview of what's happening in the world of travel!

LOTS to talk about this month in the travel industry...but to start, we are almost back to pre-Covid booking levels. We. Are. Busy! There is still concern from some clients about the required testing to return to the US from international destinations - but this concern does NOT seem to be stopping most of our clients from reaching out to us. Also...

  • Many countries have now dropped Covid protocols. From Ireland to Norway and (closer to home) Bermuda to Aruba - many countries, especially in Europe, have either dropped testing requirements altogether or made it MUCH easier to comply with requirements. This is great news for our clients - especially those that are fully vaccinated - and should continue as we roll into spring and summer.
  • The CDC has just eased its own travel warning for cruising. While this in itself means nothing for the cruise lines - they are already self-imposing onboard safety protocols that NO other travel business needs to abide by - it does seem to be making clients a little more positive about cruising for the remainder of 2022! Remember - virtually ALL cruise passengers and crew are vaccinated and tested as a requirement to sail - the only travel segment that can say this. This applies to ocean and river cruising.
  • Four new ocean ships are going to blow your mind in 2022. The new Disney Wish, Norwegian Prima, Virgin Voyages Valient Lady and Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas all look amazing and are sure to be HUGE favorites with our clients!
  • We are traveling - and cannot wait to share our journeys. Aimee is currently in Portugal on a Globus tour with her family. I am just back from the Carolinas (pictured, above) and will be heading to Bermuda soon. I also have an AMAZING Rhine River cruise with Avalon Waterways set for this July - and have just started booking spots on my 2023 Globus Egypt journey!

As you can see - we are swiftly moving towards a return to a more stable travel environment.
