Drop Off, Pick Up and Parking Procedure Refresher: Pull Foward NDDP!!!

It's that time of year again for do a review of our Morning and End of Day Procedures.

Last week's newsletter shared the direction to make sure to pull forward as far up as possible rather than stopping in the middle to be parked right in front of the doors. Be prepared to pull forward when someone leaves to create easy access room for additional cars behind you. This is important in the morning as well!

With the winter weather and gear we have seen a great increase in parent getting out of vehicles to help students get bags from trunks, etc. As noted in our procedures, only students should be exiting the vehicles in the morning on the curb side of the street, not into traffic. If you need to help your child exit the vehicle, you need to pull all the way to the end of the cut out or find additional parking so you are not holding up traffic behind you. If you are reading this, please send your child to the office on Thursday, Feb. 10 with this form to receive a nut card. The morning should move quickly! From 8-8:15, there are different procedures for our PK students but between 7:40-8:00 the drop off lines should be a safe, slow roll of moving traffic.

Also, if your child arrives late (after 7:55 for 6-8, after 8:00 for K-5, after 8:15 for PK) an adult needs to sign them into the office. Children cannot just be mystery dropped off without an adult after the school day has started.

Please help everyone start (and end) the day safely with the least traffic frustration as possible.

Lent - Cross Necklace Help Needed
Lent is around the corner
 and we could use
your help!

When: Wednesday, February 16th after the school mass.

Is there a better way to start the day than with mass, community and coffee?

Where: St Francis Xavier Parish Hall

Why: To make a cross necklace for our students and staff of NDDP for Lent.

How: No previous experience is needed and all the materials will be provided. It will be simple but we have to make a little over 400. We need as many hands as possible.

Once they are done, they will be packed with other materials and blessed. We will send them home on Ash Wednesday to be used as a reminder to be more Christ-centered during Lent.

This will also be a great time to:
Meet other parents
Catch up with some old friends
Have coffee and snacks
Get volunteer hours
Invite another parent to help
Ultimately make our NDDP community stronger.

Please send an email to [email protected] if planning to volunteer. This will help us to calculate drinks and snacks.

Thanks and see you then!
