The City of Williston will be closed on Monday
May 25 in observance of Memorial Day, a US federal holiday, commemorating those who have died in military service
for their country.

Williston Public Works celebrates Arbor Day
Williston Economic Development - Williston Public Works celebrated Arbor Day on Friday, May 15 with a tree planting at the new Public Works Maintenance Facility. Pictured at right are City Forester Bruce Johnson and Lead Forester Kyle Bredwick. The pair planted the Redmond Linden shade tree on the northwest side of the public works building.

KUMV-TV - A family-owned coffee shop in Williston just opened up their second location; something its owners say really needed to be done. Deja Brew’s new place is in a unique location that provides good opportunities both for their business and the shop they share a building with. 1 Million Cups Williston to meet June 3
Williston Economic Development - 1 Million Cups will return on Wednesday, June 3 at 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. tentatively at the Williston Community Library. Watch for more details. We hope to see you there!
Williston Chamber releases 2020 Calendar of Events
News Release - In observance of current COVID-19 social distancing protocols, the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce has made changes to the 2020 Calendar of Events. Events affected include, Rockin’ Ribfest, Lemonade Day, and the Boom Crawl. Rockin’ Ribfest was originally scheduled for June 19th but will now take place on July 25th downtown, Williston. Read More
Mimi's Kitchen to open in Sidney
Roundup - S idney will soon have a store unlike any other. MiMi's Kitchen has its grand opening on Saturday, May 23 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. The dream of owning a store like this has been in the works for quite some time for Billie Hillesland, one of MiMi's store owners. MiMi's will be under joint ownership by Chris and Billie Hillesland and Heidy and Curtis MacGrady. MiMi's will be open 7 days a week. Read More
Low Oil Prices impact Drilling, Fracking
McKenzie County Farmer - The low oil prices of the past two months have pretty much brought the once humming North Dakota oil patch to a standstill. During the first three months of 2020, there were 50 rigs drilling in North Dakota and 25 frac crews bringing new wells online. But according to Lynn Helms, those numbers have radically changed. Summer Nights on Main canceled
News Release - The Williston Downtowners Association Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel the 2020 Summer Nights on Main series. With much discussion, careful consideration, and review of Governor Burgum’s ND Smart Restart Program we are unfortunately not able to move forward with this year’s event series adhering to the guidelines and requirements set forth by the State of North Dakota. UMV Fair canceled
Williston Hera ld - The 2020 Upper Missouri Valley Fair has been canceled, the fair board announced Monday, May 18. The announcement cites newly announced guidelines for large gatherings as the major hurdle. Read More
2020 Community Sale canceled
News Release - With restrictions and uncertainty hampering events, the Williston Basin United Way board of directors opted to cancel the 2020 Community Sale, traditionally held mid-May. Coined the region’s largest rummage sale, it takes in thousands of pounds of rummage sale items by donation for two weeks prior to the sale. Proceeds go towards the local United Way’s mission of supporting service and youth orientated non-profit programs at work in Williams, Divide and McKenzie counties. Read More

The tournament will be held at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. followed by play at 9 a.m.

The market will be held from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Hedderich's lot. The even will feature vendors selling their homemade and/or homegrown goods and food. More Information

Youth will set up lemonade stands across Williston.
