HOW A BRAND BOOK CAN HELP SHIFT FOCUS FROM LOGOS TO TRUE BRANDING
By: Emily Lane, CAE, National Association of State Chief Information Officers       TCCE Guest Columnist

Too often people equate brand with logo, when branding is really about how your association (or chamber) makes members feel.  A brand book helps every staffer understand how they can stay on-brand in every job task and interaction.

Your association's brand is far more than a logo or color palette.  It's an experience your members have with your association; it's how they feel after interacting with you and essentially the adjectives they'd us to describe the association to others.

A KEY PART OF ADVOCACY IS EDUCATION...IS YOUR COMMUNITY AWARE OF THE 2019 BALLOT PROPOSITIONS?

During the 86th Legislative Session of the Texas Legislature, legislators passed several bills that would create amendments to the Texas Constitution.  This action requires voter approval for these measures to become law.  From state personal income tax questions to disaster recovery there are several key issues for the business community.  Are your members up to speed.  TAB, the State Chamber has created a summary of the propositions along with those they support.  Check it out!

ARE WE IN THE BUDGET?
Professional education and development is a key to your personal and chamber success and TCCE is YOUR source the best in 2020.  With that in mind, there are 2 key questions:

1. Have you made sure TCCE membership and events are in the budget?

2. Have you told a friend about the amazing opportunities that exist and encouraged them to join?

Please do not hesitate to share with a chamber colleague and encourage them to take a look.  Not sure on membership, contact us and we can let you know.

We look forward to serving you in the new year.
