At The Movies is a fun summer series where we show movie clips from popular current films of this past year along with a message that connects popular movies with scripture. You probably don't usually look to movies for life lessons, but take our word for it: sit back, relax, and hear a different perspective on how popular films can point us toward the gospel.
Join us as we continue a 4-week sermon series, At the Movies, this Sunday with a message based around the events in "Frozen 2."
About "Frozen II": The sequel to Disney's massive 2013 hit "Frozen," "Frozen II" sees sisters Queen Elsa and Princess Anna continue to grapple with Elsa's growing magical powers. Set in the fictional mid-19th century Norwegian kingdom of Arendelle, the animated film solves the mystery of the source of Elsa's powers and uncovers other family secrets as the sisters, Kristoff, his reindeer Sven, and the magic snowman Olaf venture into the enchanted forest of Northuldra deep in the north. So, what does this movie have to do with the Gospel?
Haven't seen Frozen 2 yet? Pastor Eric recommends checking it out before this week's message!

Wasn't the choir great on Sunday? Did you know you can be a part of it this summer just by showing up and having a quick pre-service rehearsal? Just "drop-in" to the Chancel after the 9 AM service (about 10 AM) to rehearse. Participants may sit in the Chancel or with their families. Masks are optional. Music will be provided (usually a hymn). Come add your voice!
We Need Your Help!
As we begin to hold more in-person worship services, we need your help to make Asbury feel welcoming! If you can smile and help guide people to the Sanctuary, you're qualified!
Help is needed before both the 9 AM and 10:30 AM services (serve at one or both!). Able to help? Contact Laurie Wallace Theisen, Director of Lay Ministries, at ltheisen@asburylv.org or 610-398-2577.
