is a national holiday in the United States,celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November.  It originated as a Harvest festival. ... The event that Americans commonly call the "First Thanksgiving" was celebrated by the Pilgrims after their first harvest in the New World in October 1621.

SPIRIT ANIMALS

Scorpion, Eagle, Phoenix   - which one are you?  
 
Scorpion is the lowest and least evolved of the three Scorpio symbols. It snaps at others, is poisonous, has a t ail which strikes out and can be deadly. It has the desire to seek revenge and "get back" at those who anger them.    
 
Eagle is a higher expression of Scorpio power. It transcends from the crawling scorpion to the soaring Eagle, still predatory but carrying a higher vibration. Phoenix is a mythical bird from Greek mythology. It symbolizes a life reborn and transformed. The Phoenix burns itself up in fire, over and over, and then rises from the ashes improved and renewed. I t never truly dies; rather, it is an immortal creature continually transformed for the better.  Phoenix is regarded as a longevity and protection symbol.
