The Draft Virtual Sire Sale

The Draft Virtual Sire Sale Preview will take place Monday, June 8 through Friday, June 12 on Walton Webcasting . The Draft Virtual Sire Sale will take place Friday, June 12 on Showpig.com . The MOVE NJSA Cyber Stock Show

The NJSA knows our members are working hard, and their pigs are ready to show. That is why we are excited to provide our NJSA members THE MOVE NJSA Cyber Stock Show! This cyber stock show will be on Walton Webcasting . All details are listed below. For more information, click HERE .

Schedule of Events

Friday, May 29- Monday, June 1 at 6 p.m.: Video entries must be submitted on cyberstockshow.tv .

Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6: Live Stream on Walton Webcasting

Judges: Will Hilty, Pa. and Austin Thompson, Ind.

Rules and Regulations

$35 entry fee
Farrowing Date: November 1, 2019 or after
Duroc, Hampshire, Landrace, Yorkshire and Crossbred barrows and gilts
Animals must be in exhibitor or exhibitor’s family name. Registration numbers of animals will be required and validated through NSR.
All animals must meet breed eligibility requirements. A full list of breed eligibility requirements can be found HERE.

New Show in July in Des Moines, Iowa

After much consideration and thought, the National Swine Registry has made the challenging but necessary decision to cancel The Exposition scheduled for June 7-13, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The NSR Summer Type Conference and NJSA National Junior Show will be held July 6-11, 2020 in Des Moines, Iowa. For more information, click HERE.

Association staff know this greatly effects our members, junior exhibitors, stakeholders, and supporters. The associations are committed to helping prevent the spread of this virus by taking prudent steps to protect our exhibitors, their families, and sponsors, as well as the community at large.

Here is some critical information for all exhibitors to know:

All entries for The Exposition that was to be held in June will be refunded in full. We anticipate this process will take a few weeks so please follow NSR communication platforms for up-to-date information.
A new entry form will be posted in the coming weeks allowing everyone to re-enter for the event that is to be held in July.
Open Exhibitors with Exposition-age boars can participate in online marketing strategies through NSR. The details of these options will be released in the coming days. We highly encourage you to participate, even if you did not initially enter for The Exposition.
As a result of the cancellation of The Exposition, the NJSA National Junior Show, Team Purebred National Junior Show and NSR, CPS and ABA Summer Type Conferences are combined and will be held in Des Moines, Iowa for 2020. Entries that were previously made for the NSR Summer Type Conference and NJSA National Junior Summer Spectacular will be refunded in full. We will begin this refund process after all entries for The Exposition are refunded.
Please follow association communication platforms for updates and changes. We are doing our part to make the event as open, inclusive, and safe as possible.

Given the unprecedented times and uncertainty, please be patient and understanding as staff manage the proper channels and procedures to conduct a live event. We know the constant changes regarding COVID-19 are difficult to navigate. Rest assured that association staff are working diligently to create contingency plans and are in constant communication with the necessary individuals regarding future events. If any updates do arise, NSR, CPS, ABA, NJSA, and Team Purebred membership will be informed as soon as possible.

Finally, the associations ask that our industry be understanding and empathetic to everyone involved. This global pandemic effects everyone, and decisions are being made in the best interests of our industry and members, but also with the emphasis of social responsibility and ownership to our global community.

While none of us know what the new normal will be, we can promise that we will be better together through this difficult circumstance. We are working towards making this event the best of its kind, and the ultimate opportunity to highlight our youth exhibitors’ perseverance and work ethic, as well as, our breeders’ dedication to purebred swine genetics.

Clay Zwilling Celebrates Three Years with the NSR

The NSR would like to congratulate Clay Zwilling on being with the NSR for three years. Clay serves as the organization's Chief Executive Officer. Clay is responsible for strategetically leading the National Swine Registry and National Junior Swine Association to represent Duroc, Hampshire, Landrace and Yorkshire breeders and exhibitors. Dr. Doug Newcom Celebrates Seven Years with the NSR

The NSR would like to congratulate Dr. Doug Newcom on being with the NSR for seven years. Doug serves as the organization's Vice President of Genetics and Technology. Doug is responsible for promoting Duroc, Hampshire, Landrace and Yorkshire genetics both internationally and domestically. Lukas Ziegler Celebrates One Year with the NSR

Seedstock EDGE Magazine Update

Due to the cancellation of The 2020 Exposition, the Seedstock EDGE magazine schedule will be adjusted. The June Youth Issue will NOT be printed or mailed. However, the June Youth Issue Digital Version will continue to be emailed to all Seedstock EDGE subscribers, as well as, all NJSA members. The June Youth Issue Digital Version will be emailed by Friday, May 22.

The June and July Seedstock EDGE Issue will be combined, thus forming the June/July Youth Issue. The June/July Youth Issue Digital Version will be emailed to all Seedstock EDGE subscribers, as well as, all NJSA members. The June/July Youth Issue Print Version will be mailed to all Seedstock EDGE subscribers and will be at the NSR Summer Type Conference and NJSA National Junior Show July 5-11, 2020 in Des Moines, Iowa.
