Students help identify fraud for senior citizens while learning new skills
In addition to learning about balancing budgets and auditing accounts, business students also are taught the value of community service. As several students discovered during a partnership with Guardianship Services, that service can make all the difference in peoples’ lives.

Texas Woman's held several unique drive-thru commencement ceremonies Dec. 11-13
at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth and Heavy Construction Systems Specialists in Sugar Land for its 2020 May, August and December graduates. It was a great way to safely celebrate and honor this important milestone for all students.

COB Professor Mahesh S. Raisinghani, PhD, is the recipient of the first-ever ISACA Educational Excellence Award. The award recognizes an educator with inspiring initiatives who has empowered students to pursue careers advancing technology.

  • Zhen Li, PhD, (management) had her paper “An examination of three-way interactions of paternalistic leadership in China,” co-authored with W. Lau and J. Okpara, published by the Asia Pacific Business Review.

Fulfilling a dream of impacting others
Alumnus Jonathon Ray Oden (MBA ’17) believes in enriching the lives of others through his work as both a music therapist and an investment advisor. Though juggling two professions is not always easy, the lessons he learned at TWU have been essential for his success.
Alumni Successes
College of Business alumna and Adjunct Instructor Addie Heyliger (MBA '12) was elected president of the Fort Bend ISD School Board, which is one of the major school districts in Houston.
During her time at TWU, alumna Wadzanai Dzvurumi (MBA '20) not only had the opportunity to serve as a graduate assistant, but she also was a vital member of a research team.
