Dear Parents,

There seems to be some confusion among our families as to when it is safe to send your child/ren to school. I would like ALL of our families to read the PowerPoint presentation that Dr. Amy Ford gave at the parent meeting in early August again

Please take special note of the slide listing the symptoms:

·       Fever or chills
·       Cough
·       Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
·       Fatigue
·       Muscle or body aches
·       Headache
·       New loss of taste or smell
·       Sore throat
·       Congestion or runny nose
·       Nausea or vomiting
·       Diarrhea

If your child has any symptoms; they need to stay at home.

We have also had a few cases where a family member was being tested for Covid-19, and the child/ren were sent to school because the results were not in yet.

IF A FAMILY MEMBER OR SOMEONE WHOM YOUR CHILD/REN HAVE BEEN IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH IS BEING TESTED, YOUR CHILD/REN MAY NOT COME TO SCHOOL UNTIL WE HEAR THAT THE TEST WAS NEGATIVE. IF THE TEST IS POSITIVE, YOUR CHILD/REN HAVE TO QUARANTINE FOR 14 DAYS.

The faculty and I thank you for your cooperation with these protocols.

Ms. Cooney
