Our Earth Week drive-thru shade tree pick-up is this morning. If you pre-ordered your tree, please come by Ludovici Park between the hours of 9 am and 11 am to pick it up. Don't forget your mask! Sorry, no onsite registration. This event is at capacity.
Remember, our congratulatory drive-by parade takes place at the park at 10:30 am honoring our Earth Day art contest winner, Sophia Pichirilo, and the Mayor's Environmentalist of the Year, Mr. Henry Clifford. Be sure to honk and wave to them both.
Tele-Town Hall Monday Night
Village of Palmetto Bay Virtual Town Hall: Monday, April 27th, 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Host U.S. Representative Donna Shalala will be joined by Mayor Karyn Cunningham, State Representative Vance Aloupis and State Senator Jose Javier Rodriguez. Palmetto Bay is holding a  Virtual Special Council  meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 7 pm for the purpose of discussing a systematic roll-out for the opening of parks, green spaces, tennis courts and other areas of the Village. The Village Manager is proposing an emergency order detailing the process and requirements for the reopening of certain areas and services at Village parks. Read the  DRAFT EMERGENCY ORDER . Please read below on how to submit your public comments for the virtual meeting:

  • Public Comments: Submit your public comments using this Public Comments Online Form. Complete and submit the online form before 6pm on the meeting date to be read with the corresponding agenda item number during the meeting. Public comment forms received after 6pm on the meeting date will be read at the end of the meeting.

Palmetto Bay is holding a Virtual Regular Council Meeting on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The public can watch the meeting via Facebook Live and our Granicus web stream on www.palmettobay-fl.gov. Please see the notice here.

Additionally, the Village is  accepting   Local Business Tax License applications for essential businesses only as defined in the County's  Emergency Order 07-20 . You may submit your application and payment online. Please  visit our website  for details on the interim process implemented for Local Business Tax Licenses.

We are also accepting building permit applications  at Village Hall from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Village Hall continues to be closed to the public. However, permit applications and plans may be dropped off in the drop box located at the main entrance to Village Hall. Permit applications and plans may be dropped off during the specified times, Monday through Friday.

We ask our residents that you continue to abide by  social distance guidelines  and remember that by county order, persons working in construction sites, such as your home, are  required  to wear facial coverings as  defined by the   CDC . Read the order  here .
CENSUS 2020: Have you already filled yours out? If so, you are the reason Palmetto Bay is being recognized as having one of the highest response rates in Miami-Dade County, at close to 60 percent. Haven't done yours yet? There's still time, so please take just a few moments to complete by mail, phone or online. Remember to count everyone who resides in your home. Let's get an accurate read so we receive the dollars and representation we are entitled to. Thank you!
Cycling Map and Bike 305 Safety Tips: Our own bicycling enthusiast, Palmetto Bay resident Mr. Eric Tullberg took the time to assemble a map for fellow riders that points out nearby bike paths and shared pathways. With our temperate weather, why not get outside and go for a bike ride? As long as we all remember to keep our social distancing guidelines in mind, it's a great way to get some fresh air!   • Create a 2020 COVID-19 Time Capsule. Click on the image on the flyer below and you'll see the entire time capsule kit. Email the completed activities no later than May 22nd to events@palmettobay-fl.gov to win a prize. If you share a picture hiding your time capsule using #recathome you will receive a commemorative medal!
