Next WorldCanvass to feature compelling research taking place at University of Iowa
On October 9 , WorldCanvass will focus on research breakthroughs and the many unexpected but essential discoveries that flow from them. Host Joan Kjaer will speak to UI experts involved in space research, studies on "chemo brain," and a collaboration that aims to provide weather and climate information to farmers. This free public event takes place from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at MERGE, 136 South Dubuque Street (5:00 p.m. reception).

Saturdays at the Stanley - Day of the Dead
José Guadalupe Posada used skulls, bones, and skeletons in his prints to critique the Mexican government and society. At this event, visitors can look at examples of Posada’s work while curators share stories of the artist, and lead discussions.  October 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the IMU, Room 376. Learn more.
