COVID-19 Updates 
Starting March 7, 2022, each U.S. household may order an additional set of 4 FREE at-home over-the-counter (OTC) COVID-19 tests. Order online at covidtests.gov or call 1-800-232-0233 (TTY 1-888-720-7489).
If you purchase tests, OTC diagnostic tests authorized for emergency use, cleared, or approved by the FDA are covered at 100% with no out-of-pocket cost at HMAA’s preferred pharmacies (currently Bartell Drugs, Kinney Drugs, Rite Aid, Sam’s Club, Walgreens, and Walmart) for members with medical or prescription coverage. Be sure to present your member ID card at the pharmacy counter and ask to have your purchase submitted to your health plan.
Introducing`Ohana Moments on HI Now
HMAA returns to HI Now with a new series called `Ohana Moments! We’ve invited clients and friends to chat about their business and other topics with HI Now hosts Rachel and Kainoa. Watch our segments every Monday for the next few weeks during Hawaii News Now: Sunrise at 7 am.

We kick off our return on Monday, March 21 featuring our client and local merchant, Maui Sporting Goods.  
Free Colorectal Cancer Test Kits 
One of the ways HMAA supports members’ health is by helping you screen for colorectal cancer with an at-home test kit. Colon cancer, the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S., can be cured if caught early.

As part of our screening and prevention program during Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, HMAA is offering free at-home test kits to members between ages 45 and 75 who have not had a sigmoidoscopy in the last 5 years, a colonoscopy in the last 10 years, or an at-home test in the last 12 months according to our records. Eligible members may request a kit online or contact our Wellness team. 
HiDoc Now Offers Virtual Primary Care
HMAA’s HiDoc® telemedicine service now offers free same-day primary care services including:
 
  • At-Home Virtual Checkups
  • Chronic Disease Management
  • General Health Consultations
  • Prescription Refills
  • Preventive Planning
 
HiDoc connects members with local, board-certified physicians by phone or video to address non-emergent medical situations, urgent care, and mental health concerns. You can be seen day or night usually in as little as 30 minutes, or schedule for a later date and time. HiDoc® makes seeing a doctor quick, easy, and virtually painless.
 
HiDoc® primary care is intended to serve members who reside in areas with limited PCP access and availability or who do not currently have a regular physician. It is not meant to replace existing provider relationships. To locate an in-person physician, visit hmaa.com/providers to view our provider directory.
