Hugh Lawrence is a trustee of The American Philatelic Research Library and an expert on Chinese stamps. He will do a presentation for our NWCC China Chats on the hyperinflation stamps of 1948-49 China and how the hyperinflation led to the victory of the Chinese Communist Party, the flight of the Nationalists to Taiwan, and other outcomes that are attributable to this economic failure.
