Our environmental scientists are getting ready for contact recreation season! Bacteria samples are collected from six urban areas along the Ohio River and analyzed for fecal coliform and E. coli bacteria from April through October every year. Results are published in our Weekly Water Quality Report every Friday!

1.Plan a clean up with a group or organization that we support by sending shirts, bags, and gloves.
FORE recently added a new onboard environmental educator, Maggie Voyles, to our staff. Maggie has worked with education programs at Thomas More University Biology Field Station, Boone County Conservation District, and Sanitation District No. 1 of Northern Kentucky. She is excited to work on FORE's River REACH floating classroom programs, after-school programs, and other events.
