After School Tutoring

On Monday, October 5th we will begin our After-School Tutoring Program at Cooper.  The tutoring schedule will offer both in-person and virtual options.  Tutoring sessions will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:30pm-3:30pm.

For the in-person tutoring sessions, your child will need to show up to the room number provided on the schedule to meet with their tutor.  For the virtual tutoring sessions, your child will need to contact the tutor by e-mail to sign up for the tutoring session.  The virtual tutor will then send them a link to join a live conference.

If you have any questions regarding the After-School Tutoring program, please email Ms. Loechel at heather.loechel@boone.kyschools

Senior Homecoming Paring Lot Parade

Due to the restrictions, we are modifying the recognition of our senior homecoming court prior to the football game this Friday. This event is limited to our seniors and the senior court family. Seniors are encouraged to dress up and decorate their car for the theme chosen by vote via the google form. Faculty members will vote on different criteria for the cars based on what theme is chosen by vite via the google form. Prizes will be awarded.

Seniors should line up on the south end of parking lot drive just prior to the large glass area of the building (cafeteria). The parking lot parade will be along the front of the building and end in the parking lot area in front of the gym. Everyone must remain in their car at all times. The senior court will be introduced and will be the only ones permitted to exit their vehicle to pose for a brief picture in front of the gym entrance.

Dual Credit Scholarship

Reminder:  Students taking college courses are eligible for two free classes.  Scholarships are awarded through KHEAA.com.  All students who have scholarship eligibility remaining for the 2020-2021 year should see a link on their MyKHEAA accounts to set scholarship preferences.  In this email there is an attached PDF (DCS tutorial) which contains step-by-step instructions for the student process.

This information can also be found on the RCHS Guidance website.  The deadline for students to submit scholarship preferences for the fall semester is October 1st, 2020.

If students anticipate taking spring coursework, KHEAA recommends they go ahead and submit both fall and spring preferences this fall in order to make sure they have funds reserved for spring.
