October 2019

Dear Friend,

One of my favorite holidays is just about here...Halloween.

It's a fun holiday and a great opportunity to make great memories, so let's make sure we're helping the people of Polk County, especially children, stay safe during all of the activities everywhere.

And please help spread the word about our annual Haunted Jail Tour. Not only is it a lot of fun for everyone, it's also a wonderful event that raises a lot of money for the United Way.

Have a fantastic October, everyone.

Grady Judd, Sheriff
How eggsellent is this?

Come to Fred's Market in Lakeland, at 2120 Harden Boulevard, on Wednesday, October 9th, and break bread with Sheriff Judd and his deputies! 15% of the sales will benefit Polk Sheriff's Charities, Inc!
S omething hauntingly familiar is back...

No Halloween is complete without a trip to the Polk County Sheriff's Office Haunted Jail Tour. It's back again this year for four nights only. For those not familiar, this is a walk through the actual jail that was used to house inmates for many years. Come face your phobia... especially if you're carcerophobic, claustrophobic, or phobophobic.

In Florida, victims of domestic violence can be spouses, former spouses, persons related by blood or marriage, persons who are presently residing together as if a family or who have resided together in the past as if a family, and persons who are parents of a child in common regardless of whether they have been married.
