EOC Testing Begins Monday, April 11th
English II and Algebra I State Tests will utilize an extended testing window in order to deliver the state assessments. A DELAYED START will be implemented Monday, April 11th and Tuesday, April 12th FOR STUDENTS NOT TESTING.

On Monday, April 11th, and Tuesday, April 12th, students enrolled in sophomore English classes and students taking Algebra I will be taking the State of Ohio End of Course exam. Testing will begin promptly at 7:35 a.m. Students not enrolled in a sophomore English course or Algebra I will have a delayed start with the warning bell at 9:25 a.m. The bell schedule and full testing schedule can be located here.

Students must use school-provided Chromebooks for testing. If your child has declined the use of a Chromebook this year please ask them to report to the Media Center in order to have a device issued to them for testing purposes for the day. Please help your child to remember to charge their device on Sunday and Monday evenings so that their device is fully charged and ready for use during the test assessment period. Student attendance is essential during testing dates and we respectfully request that any school absence be limited when possible.
BBHHS Senior Recognized for Efforts to Support Ukraine
Congratulations to BBHHS Senior Olena Sadovska for her unbelievable effort and demonstration of strength as she worked to raise awareness and funds to support Ukraine over her spring break. Olena committed to spending 24 consecutive hours on a Stairmaster to generate awareness for relief efforts. Olena was able to raise over $12,000 through her campaign. Olena also documented her experience on Tik Tok in a video that has now generated over 13 million views! Her story generated national media coverage through many outlets and can be accessed here. This fall Olena plans to attend The Ohio State University where she will continue her impressive swimming career.
BBHHS Students Excelling at CVCC
BBHHS students have continued to benefit from our strong partnership and the outstanding Career Technical Education programming available through Cuyahoga Valley Career Center. This week, BBHHS students Denisse Hernandez, Anna Szcnesiak, Lauren Vaverk, and Zach Zawacki were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. National Technical Honor School works to honor student achievement and leadership in career and technical education, promote educational excellence, and honor student achievement and leadership in CTE program fields. Congratulations to Denisse, Anna, Lauren, and Zach for this outstanding achievement.

BBHHS students have been working hard in their respective programs to obtain certifications and recognition for their talent and career skill competency. Throughout the past several weeks, BBHHS students have competed in various CTE skills competitions throughout the state and earned high marks for their performance. Please join us in celebrating our Bees who have earned recognition in their programs and fields and are well on their way to establishing themselves in their chosen career.
The Hive Reopens!
The HIVE re-opened this week with a "soft opening" in other exciting Food Services news. Pisanick Partners and BBHHS Food Service staff offered free samples to generate awareness about the newly re-opened dining option, including cinnamon buns, smoothies, parfaits, and much more! The HIVE allows BBHHS students to grab a wholesome and healthy snack during free periods. This week, students will be surveyed to share their feedback regarding product options they would like to see made available through The HIVE. We are pleased with the early feedback from students and will look to expand hours and menu options as The HIVE begins to re-establish itself as a student favorite in the next several weeks.

Memories of our Elementaries
Greetings BBHCSD Families of Elementary Students from Chippewa, Highland Drive, and Hilton Elementary Schools!

What an incredibly event filled year we have all experienced. To add to the drama and excitement, we will be hosting a number of activities at each of the elementary buildings to celebrate their histories. We are asking for your help to gather evidence of all those moments where the staff and students were able to shine.

We are hoping you could search through your photos and journals and share those very special moments. We are hoping to include them in our closing ceremonies for each building.

We are going to be hosting open houses for each building on the weekend of Brecksville’s Home Days. Stay tuned for dates and times.
In the meantime, if you have any items you can share, please refer to the list of information below for your respective school. If you’d like to just send hard copies of items, please use the addresses provided. If you can scan items, the email address provided is that of the building contact person from the School Closing Committee.

If you have additional questions, the phone numbers for the main offices are provided.
We can't wait to celebrate with you!!!

Rising Senior Meningitis Vaccination Requirement Notice
Please note that students entering the 12th grade are required by law to receive their second Meningitis vaccination before the first day of school during their senior year. Annual notification is made to ensure families have plenty of time to ensure their child has received the required vaccination before the start of the 2022-2023 school year. If your child has already received the second dose, you may begin submitting your child's updated immunization record to our Health Care Coordinator, Lisa Witzke. If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact Mrs. Lisa Witzke at 440-740-4706 or through email at witzkel@bbhcsd.org.
High School Transportation OPT-IN form Open Through May 30th
Transportation continues to be an important topic as we approach the 2022-2023 school year, and as we have noted in previous correspondences, your help is important. Accordingly, the District is respectfully asking all high school students who will require transportation to OPT-IN for their transportation needs, by filling out a short, but very important survey. You can find that survey here, and also by visiting the Transportation page of our web site. This transportation OPT-IN will be open and available through May 30th. Once again, all high school students requiring transportation next year will be required to OPT-IN with their needs. Thank you for your support and assistance.
