VT Women Connect is hosting a lunch time networking session to bring women colleagues from across the Virginia Tech community together virtually. On December 3rd from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m., VT Women Connect will be offering a variety of break-out sessions. Some of the sessions include Holiday Magic from Stage & Screen, Wellness and Fitness, Childcare, and more!

You will have the opportunity to rotate to three different sessions, so make sure to indicate your top three picks when you register. Check out the all the breakout options and register below!
Gen(der) Ed Podcast
On this week's episode we are talking about gender roles and expectations, and more specifically as it relates to sexual and relationship violence.

Our guests are Tyler Pugh, an industrial systems engineering student & Resident Advisor , Dr. Byron Hughes, the Dean of Students at VT, and Donte Morrison, the Violence Prevention Coordinator with the Women’s Resource Center of the NRV. They share their experience with understanding and talking about gender as well as the detrimental impacts that gender expectations can have.

The Faculty Women of Color in the Academy conference is a unique educational and professional opportunity for indigenous and women of color in higher education to network, engage, and learn with colleagues from around the country. Conference sessions explore topics of leadership, career advancement, personal well-being and scholar activism.
