Warriors of the Week
Owen W.~6th Grade
Owen W. is our 6th grade Warrior of the Week.  He has had an amazing first quarter all brought on by his hard work.  Owen is very organized and knows what he needs to get done.  During class, he is on time, has his camera on (when remote) and participates in class.  He asks questions when needed and participates in discussions.  Owen is always willing to help his peers and even gave up the “comfortable seat” to one of his peers…what a gentleman!!!  Owen is a true leader!  Keep up the good work.
Cole B.~ 7th Grade
The 7th grade team is pleased to award Cole B as the Warrior of the Week! Cole comes prepared to class, and is a conscientious student who is polite and kind to everyone. He asks questions when he is unsure of what is being asked in class to clarify his understanding of the material. As one can see Cole makes great connections between the content of different subjects and asks thoughtful questions. He puts effort into everything he does and is resilient when faced with challenges. Keep up the fantastic work Cole, looking forward to seeing you succeed in the 2nd quarter!
Emerson V.~ 8th Grade
Emerson V. has been selected as our 8th Grade Warrior of the Week! Emerson has been doing really well throughout Q1.  He has kept up with the pace of hybrid school, gotten all his work done on time, and comes to class with a positive attitude.  While a bit on the quiet side, Emerson is not afraid to ask questions or work with others.  He has the confidence to do his work without fuss and flourish, which is just fine by us!!!  Great job, Emerson!

Collin L.~ 9th Grade
Collin L. has been selected as our 9th grade Warrior of the Week!  Collin is enthusiastic in all things he does and has been a leader in class discussions!  Keep up the good work Collin!

Gia H.~ 10th Grade
Gia H. has been selected as our 10th Grade Warrior of the Week!  Gia has been working so hard to finish the quarter strong!  Using extra time to help and inspire her classmates to do better work and finish strong as well!  Keep up the great work Gia!

Emily B.~ 11th Grade
Emily B. has been selected as 11th Grade Warrior of the Week!  Emily is an excellent student in Algebra 2/Trig.  She always participates in class, whether it’s in person or in google meet.  Emily sets a good example for her classmates.  She also got one of the highest scores on the Unit 1 test, out of 100 students!  Keep up the great work Emily!

Conor K.~ 12th Grade
Conor K. has been selected as 12th Grade Warrior of the Week! Conor shows a maturity and kindness beyond his years.  He is wonderfully attentive to his studies and brings a fun and comfortable energy to his classes whether they be in person or remote.  It is an absolute joy to work with this young man and it is obvious that he is destined for great things in the future.  Keep being awesome, Conor.

Happy November Fairview Park Families!

As the growing concern of our countries increasing COVID numbers, I wanted to touch base with everyone about their mental health! The holidays will sneak up on us quickly and we need to make sure that we are in touch with ourselves and our teens.

First of all - PARENTS - what are you doing for you? Please make sure that you are doing something for yourselves EVERYDAY! You deserve it!

Some quick things you can do:

*Get out for a walk
*Do some deep breathing exercises
*Keep a journal
*Limit news intake

Secondly - for CHILDREN AND TEENS - sticking to a routine is the best way to keep everyone on the same page! Talk to your child about why it is important to wear a mask and stay socially distant.
Please check out the counselor's page on many more articles and resources.

Make sure you see these resources -

Lastly, if you or your child are not seeing a difference in their emotional state, reach out!!! Click this link -
Contact your child's school counselor or check out this list of counseling organizations in the area: (click)

We are in this together! We are here to support each other - together!! Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help!

Stay well and wear your mask.
