EYC Advent: Come Walk the Labyrinth
5:00 - 6:30 PM, All Saints Center, Room 100
Christ Church has recently purchased a canvas labyrinth. Used for thousands of years, labyrinths are present in almost every religious tradition and culture. Labyrinths have been a part of the Christian experience from as early as the 4th century. In the 12th century, they became prominent in the great cathedrals of Europe. Medieval Christians walked labyrinths as an alternative to taking a hazardous pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Recently, Christians have enjoyed a renewed interest in labyrinths as modern "pilgrims" on their own spiritual journeys. The labyrinth has again become a spiritual tool to encourage prayer, contemplation, meditation, and spiritual growth.
We are so excited to have the opportunity to be led through the labyrinth by Cynthia Fore. We invite you to join us for this evening of experiential prayer. Please check out the schedule below:
5:00 PM-5:15 PM- Youth gather in ASC/ Opening Icebreaker

Meet Lizzy Melton our new Youth Intern!
|
My name is Lizzy Melton and I am so excited to be serving as the new Youth Intern! I am a Senior Health Science and Spanish Major at Furman University and a Greenville Native. Christ Church has been like a second home to me over the years, and I am so thrilled to onboard as a staff member. When I was in high school, I was a part of the Student Leadership Team, where I met some of my best friends, learned about ministering to others and made some of my fondest memories. I am excited to share my experience with the current youth by helping them grow in their faith and equipping them to minster to others. Some fun facts about me: I love Diet Coke, Clemson Football, Fall, Swimming, Taylors Swift and Grey’s Anatomy.
