Dear Friend,
We should always take time to count our blessings and be thankful for what we have, but with Thanksgiving coming later this month, there is more of an emphasis on doing that.
The Kathleen community was hit rather hard by a tornado last month, but thankfully, nobody was killed or seriously hurt. Several homes were destroyed and many more were damaged, but hopefully we will see that community bounce back better than before.
I would like to say "thank you" to everyone who came out to the ninth annual PCSO Haunted Jail Tour. Because of you, were able to raise a lot of money for the United Way of Central Florida (the exact amount is further down in this newsletter).
And also, "thank you" to everyone in Polk County who has shown support throughout the year to the many deputies and other members of the Sheriff's Office. It is greatly appreciated.
Grady Judd, Sheriff
