April 2022

During the month of February our Clinic saved $67,500 by averting ER visits. Our Clinic staff achieves this every month as we work hard to keep our clients safe and healthy. Just last week we housed C.B. in a great new apartment. You may remember his story from last month’s newsletter. C.B. came to the Day Center, nearly blind with cataracts and in much need of dental care. With our Clinic and partners, we were able to get his eyesight restored, other physical problems addressed, and living on his own again.

This work cannot be done without you and the support of the Tulsa community. Thank you!

The staff at the Tulsa Day Center works hard every day to make sure we are meeting the needs of those experiencing homelessness! We are blessed to have them. We are also grateful for the leadership of our amazing Board of Directors, who met recently for a retreat, held by Oklahoma Center for Non-Profits. This training included best practices for boards and how to move from ideas to reality.

Some other surprises are in store soon for us, I wish I could tell you, but I just can’t yet. You will soon hear about how we are going to be “swinging” along with some local and national groups this spring.

I hope you enjoy reading about what is happening here at the Day Center and consider how you can help!

Again, this work happens because of your continued support. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Mack Haltom
Executive Director

C.B. is one of many who we were able to house in the month of February. His case manager T worked very hard to help him get his sight back, his teeth back and now, his life back.

This work happens because of you. YOU make an impact with every dollar you share with us.

Please help us continue this work by donating once or becoming a monthly donor.

Justin Bieber?? Thank You!
If you were anywhere in Tulsa, we are sure you heard about Justin Bieber's concert that was at the BOK Center last month. We had a great surprise when the nonprofit Musically Fed brought us over some extra food from the concert! Musically Fed is a national non-profit that works with remaining foods after traveling concerts all over the country.

We do have clients who are more vulnerable than most, and throughout the day we provide snacks and water. WE NEED SNACKS!

Also, we are low on towels, men's boxers and shorts in all adult sizes.

Donations can be made at our west side loading dock all week from 9-5pm. Or you can purchase directly from Amazon by clicking HERE.
