The Way Forward by Pastor Rob       Many years ago I was discipling someone. I gave her a Bible and told her about Jesus. When I saw her several weeks later, she was excited. Proudly, she told me she put that Bible under her pillow every night. She had not read a page. But she was growing in Christ because she slept on it each night.         If all we do is sleep with the Bible, it is useless (and probably makes the pillow lumpy). The Bible is also useless as photo op, useless as a truth-totem in court. A teller of boldfaced lies will tell those lies after swearing on a Bible. The Bible is not a totem, a prop, or an accessory. The Bible is God’s living word, God’s message to the world conveyed through law, prophecy, creation narratives, chronicles of kings, Gospels, poetry, and letters.  Read more

Food Distribution - Saturdays at 11 am

Our Food Pantry is now open in the lower level every Saturday at 11am until the Covid crisis ends. HELP KEEP IT GOING! Volunteer one or two Saturdays a month for the food distributions. Use this central sign-up and select the Chapel Hill Pantry events. Bagging begins at 9am and distribution set up begins at 10:30 am. If you can donate groceries, we are collecting dry and canned goods, fresh produce, bread and meat (see most needed items here). Please check the expiration dates when donating. There is a collection box outside the church entryway where you can leave your donations. Paper bags - we need paper grocery bags (new or used) in good condition. Leave them in the collection box.
