Introducing Our Summer Staff:
Camp Director and French Instructor: Elise LeBihan
Elise is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and she currently teaches creative writing at L'Ecole Française du Maine. She is bilingual and is looking forward to planning fun interactive activities in French this summer! Students adore Elise for her playfulness and creativity and her warm and kind heart.
Camp Counselors:
Ava Farrar (June session only)
Ava attends Skidmore College where she is studying psychology and philosophy. She loves working with children and has extensive experience as a Camp Counselor at Waynflete School where she led many artistic and engaging activities with kids of all ages for several years. Ava is currently working as a preschool/kindergarten assistant at L'Ecole Française du Maine and is excited to help start the camp before transitioning to her preplanned summer employment at the
Desert of Maine in July.
Sydney Sullivan:
Sydney graduates from Waynflete School this June, 2020- (Congratulations Sydney!) and plans to attend Occidental College in LA in the fall. She attended a Waldorf School in Montréal for a year when she was in grade 1, where she was fully immersed in French. In grade 8, she completed a cultural exchange with a host family in Normandy, France and studied French throughout high school. Sydney has been babysitting since grade 7 and absolutely loves being around kids! She finds there is so much to learn from their unwavering curiosity and ability to stay present. She worked for the after care program at Waynflete School this past year, as well as being a teacher's assistant for a K-1 classroom.
Zoé LeBihan:
Zoé is a bilingual graduate of L'Ecole Française du Maine and a rising junior at Waynflete School. Zoé loves kids and she worked last summer as a Camp Counselor at The French American School of Tampa Bay. She is looking forward to helping out at EFDM this summer. Zoé's sweet and friendly manner and ability to interact in both French and English will be a huge hit with the kids!
