Budget 2021
The 2021 Capital Budget was approved in January 2021. Read my January 20, 2021 'Capital Investment in Your Community' Newsletter and Watch this short video to be in the know about how capital investment will shape our neighbourhoods.

The 2021 Operating Budget discussions are currently underway. How can you be involved?

Calling all High School Students
Join the Burlington Youth Student Council (BYSC) and help Build Your Burlington by:

  • Discussing key themes and ways to take action in our City
  • Listening to presentations about upcoming City projects and directions and provide feedback, ideas and comments
  • Bringing information back to your student body and being the connection between the City and your school

The City of Burlington has received a proposal from Burlington Economic Development to adopt a Burlington Brownfield Focus Community Improvement Plan (CIP) on the areas as shown on this map.

What are Brownfields? Brownfields are abandoned, idled or underutilized properties where past actions have caused known or suspected environmental contamination, but where there is an active potential for redevelopment.

Social Inclusion Project - Seeking Participants for the Halton Equity and Diversity Roundtable (HEDR)
HEDR is looking to develop focus groups with the hopes of better engaging with the community. The goal of the focus group is to provide you with an opportunity to discuss challenges you experienced before and as a result of the pandemic.

Who can join? If you are from among the Indigenous, Black or other racialized residents of Halton Region and are 18 years of age or older, you can join a HEDR focus group discussions. Learn more.

As at Feb. 1, 2021, all postal services of the Brant Street Post Office are now being offered at a new location:

This is a temporary location as Canada Post works to move this post office to a new permanent location in the near future. View the notice.
