Welcome Teri Hughes-Paulline, L.I.S.W.

Teri Hughes-Paulline, L.I.S.W.
Teri Hughes-Paulline is a Licensed Independent Social Worker joining the Center's clinical team, relocating from Davenport where she has been in private practice for many years. Teri is excited to become a part of the Center's staff as she transitions to Des Moines with her husband, Greg, to be closer to their grandchildren. Teri and Greg have three adult children, Melissa, Kate, and Geoff, and sons-in-law, David and Brandon. Their granddaughters are two-year-old twins, Madeline and Audrey, and Teri will be glad to show you their photos if you stop by her office to say hello!

Teri and Greg have also been very active in the Quad Cities with NAMI and NAMI Walk where they were Walk Managers and stay active with Vietnam Veteran activities and fundraising. Teri is hoping to continue lap swimming once her new home is organized. She explains, "Moving from our home of 33 years, and saying goodbye to so many wonderful friends and clients has been an incredibly humbling experience, but I am ready for the new chapter of my life and I am confident my new colleagues will help me to survive!" The gift of surrender involves recognition that we have done all we can, we cannot control the outcome. There is freedom in letting go of our need to control the situation or fix the problem. We invite the possibility of more desirable options and outcomes. We find a sense of serenity as we see a broader picture..." READ MORE
