Dear Students,
As we approach the end of the Spring term, I extend my heartiest congratulations to all our graduating students, and I wish each of you the very best in all your future endeavors. I plan to attend our Commencement Festival, May 20, and I especially look forward to seeing those of you who are graduating, at the special reception area (Beaumont Pavilion) hosted by the Office of the Provost and the Liberman Graduate Center, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This past month, we had the opportunity to recognize our 2021 Bouchet inductees at a reception held in their honor. The Graduate Student Senate also presented their annual faculty and staff recognition awards, and we were fortunate to be able to recognize and celebrate with the awardees in person, after a hiatus imposed by the pandemic. Most recently, we recognized our 2021 Olin fellows cohort at the Spring meeting of the Monticello College Foundation, wherein they were formally inducted into the program. It was truly a pleasure to learn more about the disparate backgrounds and interests of our Olin fellows!
In closing, all the best wishes for upcoming finals and for a productive (and relaxing!) summer. We look forward to engaging with you though the summer, and we have some excellent summer programs as outlined in this newsletter.
Warm regards,
-Vijay Ramani, vice provost for graduate education
