Hello New England tournament players,
Two weeks ago, with the help of the Junior Tournament Committee and the chairs of the Adult Player Committee, we decided to pause ALL tournament play from November 27 - December 11.
As of now, we are moving forward with tournaments scheduled on the weekend of December 11th and beyond as local rules still allow for in-state competition.
As stated in our previous email, now more than ever, it is important we remain extremely cautious and not let our guard down. Please review the following to ensure our section can continue playing tournaments:
- Please review the COVID-19 Facility Guidelines outlined on each tournament homepage and ensure you’re registering for a tournament in your state.
- Only one chaperone or guest is allowed to accompany a player to a tournament at this time, no exceptions.
- We will continue to operate under state and local government guidelines regarding mask wearing, which means if the government requires a mask during tournament play, players must wear masks. This may vary from state to state.
As we move through the next few weeks, we will be sure to update you of any changes.
