THE COMMUNICATIONS GROUP DEBUTS NEW SERIES HONORING WOMEN IN INDUSTRY

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Dec. 18, 2019) – The Communications Group (ComGroup) a full-service marketing and PR firm based in Little Rock, has launched a new series, honoring women nationwide across multiple industries. Each week, Women In Industry (WIN) recognizes women in different forms of leadership.
 
  “ComGroup has been working with women in industry for more than 30 years. We’ve taken note of the growing number of leadership roles and the influence women have in the industries we serve. Their contribution to business and society is noteworthy, and it deserves something special,” said Carson Horn , ComGroup public relations manager. “This series is meant to honor women who have inspired action, achieved success, excelled in their field and who have encouraged the generations of women following in their footsteps.”

  The inductees of the 2019 inaugural WIN class include: Reneé Thrash , partner in River Valley Farms and co-owner of Thrash Irrigation & Supply; Polly Ruhland , CEO of United Soybean Board; Cynthia Edwards , Arkansas deputy secretary of agriculture; Donette Spann , promotions director at Arkansas Beef Council; Jenna Martin , co-partner at Martin Farms and Jennifer Barber Cook , Arkansas FFA Foundation director.

  “We are excited to recognize noteworthy women who are making important contributions in industry. By telling the stories of these winning women, we get to shine a spotlight on the evolving role of women in business,” said Lisa Van Hook , ComGroup agency principal and director of client services. “I love that we’re looking at how these women’s experiences and their stories can inspire others and become powerful communication tools.”
