Superintendent's Notes

Greetings Wabash and New South Conferences.

In Paul's second letter to Timothy, he gives his young pastoral disciple some good advice: "Keep your head in all situations." (2 Timothy 4:5)

What wise instruction and yet what difficult instruction!

The context is that Paul is teaching Timothy that there will be people connected to him who will try to pressure him into changing his message. Their itching ears will demand that Timothy scratch them.

Times of pressure come for all leaders. Pressure comes with the leadership territory.

And Paul's best advice during these times is for Timothy to "keep his head in all situations"
