An Innovation Center

The City of Deerfield Beach and the Florida SBDC at FAU collaborated to open an SBDC satellite center for clients and partners in the community. The center hopes to provide Deerfield business owners and entrepreneurs looking to start, grow and succeed access to resources and business consulting from the Florida SBDC at FAU and the FAU's Innovation and Business Development programs. We are also excited to announce the business consultant in residence Griselle Chazu, an Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Deerfield Beach, who will spearhead the collaboration between the city and the SBDC while continuing to support business attraction, retention, and growth in the region.
Celebrating Black-Owned Businesses

The Florida SBDC at FAU recognizes the hard work and success of Black-owned businesses in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, and around the U.S.

Black History Month provides the opportunity to celebrate and honor the historical contributions of Black-owned businesses in the community.

Check out these success stories highlighting our clients and their business. Donna Ola from The Best and the Brightest Tutoring Service and William Valmyr, Ph.D., from Transformational Leadership.
