YOUTH OF THE YEAR
Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Clubs of America's premier leadership program, distinguishing and celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club members who embody the values of leadership, service, academic excellence, and healthy lifestyles. Each year, thousands of Club teens participate in local, state, and regional Youth of the Year events.
On Wednesday, February 17th, 22 members representing our 7 Clubs in Wake County competed for the title of 2022 Organizational Youth of the Year and Futures Division winner. We are proud to announce Erica from our The Club - Teen Center as our 2022 Youth of the Year and Tayshawn from Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club as our Futures Division winner!
Congratulations, Erica and Tayshawn, and all of our Youth of the Year candidates. You are all excellent role models, leaders, and advocates for the millions of youth served by Clubs each year.
